Sisters and Brothers!
I was asked by a friend of Bishop Mulvey to please take the post down. This friend is quite certain the Bishop did not intentionally slight our Celebration and that it has all been an unhappy coincidence. Yes, I know, others have copied my post in its entirety, therefore it will live on in cyberdom. I can't control that....
Plus....my carping has served to stoke the fires of an unrelated controversy. A controversy I am thankfully ignorant of. I don't know if those fires need to be stoked, --I am assuming they should not be [or at least it's not my place to play of role of Mrs. O'leary's cow!]--hence my post, which caused my 'hit meter' to overheat, is gone. Now I shall get back to my regular followers: me, myself and I.
Please, everyone, before you 'go off ' on bishops and priests, do say a prayer for your target and do a 'google' on the sin of detraction!! I have been, rightly, called to task for detracting remarks I have made in the past. Try not to put yourself in the same position!
Thanks for reading this.

KC - Perhaps some months from now, you could send a letter to Bishop Mulvey and ask him to have a Corpus Christi procession. We know of very orthodox priests who cannot kneel during Mass due to knee or back problems. Similarly, a procession in the hot Texas sun could be difficult for some bishops and priests if they suffer from high blood pressure or other health conditions. You might ask Bishop Mulvey that if his schedule or other thing prohibits him from leading the procession next year, if priests of the diocese can lead it in his name. Perhaps he would lead a Holy Hour in the cathedral before it begins. Also, some dioceses may have trouble securing necessary permits. The best way to get more Corpus Christi processions is to first pray, then to write charitable letters to the bishop and let God take it from there.
