k.c. has it from reliable sources that Corpus Christi Cathedral (Corpus Christi diocese)
conducted all five of its Masses this weekend of March 7th 'ad orientem' http://www.goccn.org/mass.asp .
The reorientation of the altar was well received by the parishioners with many commenting both on the awe they felt and the extraordinary reverence with which the parish's priests celebrated the ordinary form of the Mass!!

The video of the Mass on the Cathedral's site confirms that the Sunday online Mass was "ad orientem".
ReplyDeleteNext will be Communion on the tongue while kneeling by all. At least, at this Mass, this was option was available and exercised by some. May this become the norm.
Excellent, praying for such changes to happen in Los Angeles
ReplyDeleteI didn't see the video from last week, but this Sunday's is clearly not "ad orientem." Was it just a one time thing? Who celebrated the Mass?
ReplyDeleteTJB,

They went back to the new way!
:-(
I had hoped it was desire of our new bishop, Mulvey. They are saying it was only because new tiles had been installed behind the altar....
